Toronto Rapper Mo-G Accuses Drake of Stealing His Style & More
Mo-G With The Dance Moves?
Looks like Drake just can’t seem to catch a break these days; Toronto rapper Mo-G is the latest rapper to accuse the hotline bling singer of swagger jacking, and denying the OVO co-signee of writing credits. Mo-G took to his Instagram to callout the rapper for being “fake” and explains why he believes he should be compensated for his creative contributions to Drakes music. In one of the many videos the rapper uploaded, he does admit the OVO sound team agreed to pay him for his contributions, but they were only willing to dish out a lousy $500.00 in total. He continued on by firing shots at Drakes manager Oliver El-Khatib calling him a “culture vulture” among other vulgarities. He ended his rant by sharing screenshots exchanged between him and Drake that included a message from Drake requesting him to send a sample of his voice for a single that will be featured on the rappers upcoming album ‘Views From The 6.’ According to Mo-G, that was only one instance he could provide receipts for at the moment, but there’s been many occasions where Drake has profited off of his creative fluidness and yet he’s still “stuck in the hood.” “Mo-G with the dance moves” is a lyric from Drakes recent hit-single ‘Jumpman’ which he’s referencing the time he “borrowed” Mo-G’s dance moves for the ‘Hotline Bling’ video. “I hit that Ginobili with my left hand up like woo” was a line he also “borrowed” from Mo-G’s song ‘Still’ for the song ‘Jumpman’ and those are just to name a few.
